I wouldn't deny the year started off pretty rocky.

Being out of school for 9 months made me nervous when stepping into campus. I couldn't recognize the people strolling; the new eateries caught my eye but I know I've yet to explore all. Catching the SMU wave had been hard for the first 4 - 5 weeks. It was difficult to get me tuned into the right frequency but I managed, somehow.

Lo and behold it is recess week and that means ... aside from partying ... it's half a semester gone! 7 more weeks and I'm going to say hello to my 4-month Summer break again :D

Anyhoos, caught up with some lost friends over a couple of drinking sessions. tWas good to see some of the bowlers doing good and I don't know why but I keep bumping in Eva and Ben especially at Ice Cold Beer. Must be fate telling me I've to stop for beer. I did. Twice.

This year's Chinese New Year was over the top, imho. Loads of food and gambling (as usual, just a notch higher than the last) and crazy drinking. I remember getting semi-drunk on chu yi. That's bad.

Speaking of alcohol, my favourite Auntie, whom I so lovingly call Ee-Ee actually broke her foot because she got drunk at my house and when she returned home, she fell. Madness!

I made a couple of friends this year and an additional commitment. I've yet to fulfill that commitment to its optimum yet but I'm looking to work towards it once my schedule/SMUgging mood is pretty much stabilized. This year has made me yearn for a lot of things -- both material and non-material.

Well, let's see how things go.

I'm jetting off in 7 hours and am pretty psyched about it. The last I flew was almost a year ago and it's been too long. The 2010 year end trip got cancelled due to a myraid of reasons which I shall not divulge.

Bangkok shall feel my frenzy. I hope my cousin will not think me a maniac since I'm checking in a 1/4 filled luggage.
